Sandhill Cranes Expedition with Hill Henry
December 3
$99.00
Wildlife photography is equal parts challenge, patience, and sheer thrill. Capturing nature in its rawest form requires skill, preparation, and a deep understanding of your subject. Join Hill Henry for an immersive, hands-on workshop where you’ll refine your wildlife photography techniques and build your portfolio with stunning images of Sandhill Cranes in their natural habitat.
On December 3rd, we’ll embark on a photography adventure to Hiwassee Wildlife Refuge, home to an extraordinary aggregation of Greater Sandhill Cranes as they migrate through the Tennessee River Valley. With thousands of cranes filling the sky, you’ll have the opportunity to photograph birds in flight—one of the most challenging yet rewarding forms of wildlife photography.
What You’ll Learn:
Essential wildlife photography techniques – Master exposure, autofocus, and composition in dynamic environments.
The right gear for the job – Discover the must-have equipment for sharp, breathtaking wildlife images.
Understanding wildlife behavior – Learn how to anticipate movement for perfectly timed shots.
Creative photography techniques – Experiment with silhouettes, slow shutter speeds, and panning for artistic impact.
Workshop Breakdown:
Morning Session: Capture classic wildlife images, sharpen your focus on birds in flight, and perfect your in-the-field techniques.
Midday Break: Enjoy lunch in historic Dayton, TN and discuss photography tips with fellow participants.
Afternoon Session: Shift gears to creative wildlife photography—panning techniques, motion blur, dramatic silhouettes, and sunset captures.
Due to East Tennessee’s unpredictable weather patterns, the date may shift slightly—so stay tuned for updates!
This is your chance to push your wildlife photography skills further and walk away with a diverse set of images for your portfolio. Spots are limited, so don’t miss out!
