What can you do with only one light?
Using a single light will limit what you can produce. See David Hakamaki as he unlocks the secrets of creating beautiful portraits
with only a single off-camera light. In this in-depth lighting class, we will look at incorporating the available light to feature or accent your scene and pose your subject for maximum effect while properly lighting your subject with only a single off-camera light.
We will talk about lighting ratios, direction, intensity, and color balance so that every portrait is perfect.
David will also show you how to create dramatic lighting effects with that single light for maximum drama or to soften it up to blend with your available light to create a pleasing scene.
Using a single light will allow you to move faster, work in tight locations, and save energy by carrying a lighter kit. Whether you shoot portraits, weddings, graduates, children, or
sports, a single light can open your possibilities and expand your repertoire.
This class will be using the Godox platform, and we will be working with a model. So, bring a camera, extra Godox triggers and your wildest imagination, and let’s create some stunning single-light
portraits.

    We have circuit speakers that go to various cities which may cause a schedule change. Check the calendar below for the exact dates. Our association events and special events can be scheduled at any date.

    • 4:30 pm to 5:30 pm – Pre-Meeting Social and Networking

    • 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm – Monthly Meeting
