Lightroom – where to start and how get it all together

Lightroom Classic, Adobe’s software designed exclusively for photographers, has powerful organizational, editing, and output capabilities. Unfortunately, this sleek software is designed to be intuitive EXCEPT for the beginning of the program. This program covers setting up Lightroom, interacting with it, and bringing images in and out of it–all encompassed within the Library module. The rest of the software is full of intuitive features and processes.
What we will be reviewing:
- How to think about and approach the software
- What not to do and how to recover if you mess it all up
- Preferences, presets, and setup
- How to bring images into the software
- Leveraging all its organizational power
- How to do batch editing to move you through all your images
- Presets and how to get images out of the software
- A workflow tov keep you moving throughout Lightroom
The class will be a hybrid Zoom/in-person presentation (maximum of 10 people in person). Meetings will be recorded for your later use as long as technology works, so no worries if you miss one or two meetings. I strongly encourage you to make sure to attend the first meeting. The class will meet one night a week for three weeks from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. on Mondays Nov. 20, Nov 27, and Dec. 4th.
