Bio:
Betsy Bird of Ride the Sky Equine Photography spends her days doing insane things to make horses look at her. Clearly, she’s desperate for attention. Outside of acting like a total weirdo, she invests time and energy into growing her business, speaking on subjects she is passionate about, mentoring photographers, planning her next big wheels-up adventure, and hanging with her favorite dog, Nitro.
Not only is Betsy an award-winning horse and equestrian photographer, but she is also a popular podcast guest and the author of “Equine & Equestrian Photography Poses That Sell”. That’s right! She literally wrote the book on equestrian photography.
Betsy is a Certified Professional Photographer (CPP) with the organization Professional Photographers of America (PPA). The CPP designation is held by fewer than 2,500 photographers nationwide and is a hallmark of consistency, technical skill, artistry, and professionalism. She also serves of the Board of Directors for the Professional Photographers of East Tennessee (PPETN) and the Board of Directors of the Tennessee Professional Photographers Association (TNPPA).
Betsy specializes in creating storytelling magic for horse girls of all ages creating horse portrait photography, equestrian senior photography, and equestrian brand photography. Her work has been featured in magazines and is found throughout homes and stables in the United States.
