From File Dump to Full Service: The Power of In Person Sales (IPS) with Tracy Allard

It’s certain that by now, you’ve heard In Person Sales (IPS) will make you more money, which should be reason enough to utilize it in your business. But if you’re still on the fence, maybe you haven’t given enough thought to all the pitfalls that go along with a digital download sales model? Well, Tracy Allard, M. Photog., CPP has, because she experienced nearly every single one of them in her first year of business. If the fear of meeting with clients in person has you avoiding IPS, wait until you hear about the downside of digital download sales! Tracy will give you tangible reasons why IPS will greatly benefit your business and result in happier clients. If you need help getting over the hump of transitioning from digital download to in person sales, this is the class for you.

Bio:

Tracy is a self-described escapee from the corporate world, taking advantage of an early retirement package from an international sales management career at the end of 2013. With her newfound time, she threw herself into a long dormant area of interest, photography. What followed was dozens of classes, workshops and seminars which eventually led to the launch of a portrait studio in Carrollton, Texas. Celebrating its 10th year in business in 2025, Penny Whistle Photography serves the greater Dallas – Fort Worth metroplex with family, high school senior and pet portraits along with corporate headshots, branding and commercial photography services.

In 2018 Tracy earned her CPP and in 2023 her Master of Photography degree. She’s garnered several medals at the local, state and IPC levels of photographic competition including a Gold Medal in 2021 IPC, a Platinum Medal at Texas PPA in 2022, three Bronze Medals in 2023 IPC , and a Diamond Medal at Dallas PPA. Tracy’s work has also been recognized in several non-PPA juried photographic events, most notably a 3rd place finish in the international Kennel Club Dog Photographer of the Year in 2019 from among thousands of entries. While she loves portrait photography, documentary imagery is a personal passion, as is a new area of interest – photographing wildlife.

A native of New Hampshire (yep, now you can say you met one), Tracy grew up in Florida with a veritable Dr. Doolittle array of animals; from dogs, cats, goats, and a pony to a pet raccoon. She’s had a lifelong love affair with animals and all her kids have four legs; the current headcount is three dogs, but it tends to change quite often with the comings and goings of foster pets. Coppell, Texas has been her home for the past 29 years.

In her “retirement” (her husband insists on the use of quotations when the words “retirement” and “Tracy” are in the same sentence), and in conjunction with earning her CPP, Tracy also pursued her other passion, dog training, and earned her Certified Professional Dog Trainer – Knowledge and Skills Assessed (CPDT-KSA) certification in 2016. She regularly donates her time and talent to several local DFW animal shelters and rescue groups as well as her local chapter of Special Olympics.
