The Michael Laughlin scholarship was founded in recognition of former PPETN member Michael Laughlin’s never-ending willingness to share his knowledge of the trade. His skill set was widely-recognized as a photographer and business person.

Each year, when able, PPETN recognizes a member in Laughlin’s name and awards them a scholarship advance their knowledge and skills in professional photography. One scholarship award in the amount of $500 will be paid towards the PPA affiliate school or training event of the winning member’s choice. The scholarship is paid for by the revenue that is generated by entry fees in the monthly Laughlin Print Photography Competition.
