Monthly 8×10 Competition

We will be holding our monthly 8×10 competition this week. January starts a new year with new tallies towards our Photographer of the Year!

You may submit as many prints as you like. The fee is $3 per print. First, second, and third place entries go towards our Photographer of the Year tallies. Please remember to bring a cd of your submitted images (600 pixels on the largest side) for posting on our website. Providing digital version of your submissions is required for your points to count towards the photographer of the year award.

Membership Renewall

It’s that time of year again! We will have applications available at tomorrow’s meeting. You can also download a copy of the application here. Membership dues are $75 for active members and $40 for associate members.

If paying by check, please make checks out to Smoky Mountain Professional Photographers as we are still in the process of changing over all accounts to the new name.

Voting / Results

We have had a good number of ballots returned for the 2009 board member nominations. As of now, we have 15 votes approving the nominations. We need 15 out of 22 votes for the board to be approved. Even though we have enough “Yes” votes, we still need a total of seven more votes for the nominations to be completly valid. So if you haven’t filled out your ballot yet, please download the ballot and e-mail or fax it to Chris Hoopes (865.945.2652) ASAP.
